After speaking to a number of advisors and being told I had very few/restricted options, I was put in contact with Aimee and Lee at Lightbulb and they’ve been nothing short of superstars. As a first time buyer going through a new process it’s rather daunting, but they’ve been incredibly responsive compared to others I’d been dealing with and on hand to answer any and all questions I had which was incredibly helpful and made me feel very at ease. On top of that, they were able to give me amazing advice on what I could be eligible for as someone with an adverse credit history and they provided far better options through their panel of lenders than the ones I’d been presented with so far. Ultimately this lead to me securing an offer with much better conditions than I’d got elsewhere all thanks to their knowledge, expertise and hard work. 11/10, couldn’t recommend highly enough!

As a FTB I initially tried to go through brokers attached to the estate agents but as soon as they realised I was fairly recently out of a DMP they all pretty much ghosted us. So I contacted Lightbulb Lending to see if they could help. Lee was in stark contrast to the EA brokers and was really friendly, professional and actually interested in helping us get a home regardless of our credit history. As the process progressed I spoke more and more with Aime who was exactly the same and very knowledgeable about the mortgage products/next steps in the process. They were also the most responsive people in the whole process when it came to answering the phone etc and putting my mind at ease and that was invaluable during the process! I'd highly recommend going through Lee/Aime and look forward to seeing what they can suggest to me when the mortgage fixed period finishes.
